Hello, hello hello! We are just checking in with a mid-season report. So how has the sled season been treating you so far?
It’s been stellar! I’ve been guiding a lot, and then I ride and shoot on all of my days off, so things have been busy. I have more days on snow under my belt this season than ever before and I’m feeling super confident on the sled.
Where are your main riding zones and how have the conditions been?
I’m living in Revelstoke, so I’ll ride most of the zones here. The deep pow descent lines have been particularly great on XXXXX mountain 😉 , but it rained up high recently and our snowpack become saturated and settled out quite a bit. But it is spring jump season now, so I’m not too worried!
Where else have you rode this season?
Fernie and Golden. We always get it good in Golden.
Any days that stand out as being particularly epic so far?
There were a few epic days shredding in the sun in Turtle, but most of my epic days have been on jump sessions in Golden. I also managed to get back to Alberta and hit the freestyle ramp, definitely pumped to get after that more.
What has been the highlight of your season?
There’s a couple hits in Golden I’ve had fun with, and I’ve had a fun time ripping some technical descent lines when it was deep. In general though, just all of the amazing people I get to ride and hang out with has been the best part.
Thanks for taking the time to update us on your season. Any shout-out’s and thank you’s?
The great people I’ve been riding and shooting with all winter, they’ve made the season as fun as it has been. Bow Ridge Sports Cochrane for keeping my sled alive after it takes crazy impacts from all the stuff I send it off, Strikt Gear Company for keeping me dry in the harshest conditions every single day, Highmark by Snowpulse, Zeal Optics, and of course joydigger.com!
